Test Automation Meetup – November 2025

Gil Zilberfeld has been in software since childhood, writing BASIC programs on his trusty Sinclair ZX81. He is a trainer and mentor working to make software better. With more than 25 years of developing commercial software, he has vast experience in software methodology and practices. From unit testing to exploratory testing, design practices to clean code, API, web and AI testing – he’s done it all. Gil speaks frequently in international conferences about testing and AI , TDD, clean code, and agile practices. He is the author of "Everyday Unit Testing" blogs and posts videos on these topics at testingil.com and YouTube channel. In his spare time, he shoots zombies, for fun.

Péter was first involved with QA as a beta tester of DOTA in 2006. Since joining EPAM in 2012, he moved towards test automation, and is currently working in the USA as a Quality Architect. He is leading Game Testing Consulting and GenAI in Testing engagements in the Americas. Péter has authored two ISTQB syllabi: Test Automation Engineering & Test Automation Strategy. He also invented two test automation methodologies: the Flow Model Pattern and the Tri-Layer Testing Architecture, the latter published as a white paper by the PNSQC. Péter has been one of the review board members of the HUSTEF since 2015. Péter is a regular keynote and tutorial speaker on conferences such as STARWEST, STAREAST, and SauceCon. He used to be a guest lecturer at 3 Budapest based universities: Óbuda, Pázmány and the ELTE. Brewing beer and planting chilis are some of his hobbies.

With over 20 years of experience in QA automation, I am a passionate and skilled leader who can design, implement, and manage effective and efficient testing solutions for various domains and technologies. I have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results, reducing costs, and increasing productivity for my clients and employers. As a Quality Assurance Manager at FreightVerify Inc, I managed a team of 13 SDETs on 1300+ test suites, reviewed and approved GitLab merge requests, provided historical progress reports in Allure, tracked projects and issues in Jira, performed candidate tech interviews, and achieved a quick win of nightly execution of four suites in three environments. Previously, as a Lead Software Test Engineer at Guaranteed Rate, I managed five automation projects with seven SDET resources using a common JavaScript WebdriverIO test framework, optimized manual testers setup time with an RPA custom loan creation tool, and accelerated late night production release with testRigor, a no-code testing tool that enabled me to write tests in plain English and find multiple defects in real time. I am also an active and recognized contributor to the QA community, as a host and speaker of ZappleTech Test Automation Meetups, a game master of the British Computer Society’s Bug Bash, an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, a conference speaker at Automation Guild and other events, an instructor at the International Institute for Software Testing, and a runner up of the HP White Paper Award Contest for writing a paper on the hidden ROI of automated software testing. I am always eager to learn new skills, share my knowledge, and collaborate with other professionals in the field.
