Testomat.io Ambassador Program Targets

This Ambassador Program aims to increase Testomat.io’s global popularity and strengthen a collaborative ecosystem in QA, testing, and automation. This summary captures the program’s pivotal targets:

Promoting Educational Integration: Facilitate the use of Testomat.io in academic programs, certifications, and research in partner companies’ internship programs, courses and personal pet projects.
Driving Testomat.io’s Adoption: Demonstrate its value across software development, quality assurance and TestOps to encourage broader utility.
Growing the Partner Network: Cooperation with companies to build a win-win partnership for both and strengthen industry backing.
Certification and Training opportunities: Advocate Testomat.io’s trainings and certifications within the QA community to ensure a skilled and knowledgeable user base for our tool.

Eligibility

Who Can Become an Ambassador? Anyone from the QA and testing community with a keen interest in promoting and developing Testomat.io, its community, and ecosystem can apply to become an ambassador. Specific tasks may have additional requirements, like knowledge of test management, automation tools, or other skills. Ambassadors should fulfil the following key qualities:

Possesses expertise in some professional areas, as Quality Assurance, Software Development, AI or TestOps, e.g.
Actively contribute and show a strong commitment to the Testomat.io community and its growth.
Participate in building a stronger, more connected, and engaged Testomat.io community.
Demonstrate a positive example of how to be an ambassador, embodying the values of the Testomat.io community, and a role model of professionalism and collaboration.

Application Process

Potential ambassadors can apply through the ambassador program page on the official Testomat.io website. Applications can be submitted at any time, and the review process takes up to 2 weeks. This approach provides a sufficient amount of time to evaluate each candidate thoroughly. We promise to consider every application and answer each candidate.

*Candidates are welcome to contribute to community topics while their applications are under review.

Steps in the Application Process:

Application Submission: The candidate can submit an application through the Google Form on our site<link>. This form collects information on the applicant’s areas of interest and relevant skills.
Review Period: The application is reviewed for up to 2 weeks. During this time, the Testomat.io team evaluates the candidate’s expertise, enthusiasm and potential contributions. We are identifying an appropriate role for the ambassador to maximize his impact.
Alignment agreement procedure: Once the application is reviewed and accepted, the next step is an alignment procedure. We clarify our expectations and address any questions the candidate may have. Following this, we will fill out their ambassador profile on our site. Next, we guide the candidate and provide the necessary support to help them navigate their role effectively.
Ambassador period: After the alignment agreement, the candidate becomes an Ambassador. Over the next year, the candidate is expected to complete at least two of the tasks they signed up for. This period helps the candidate demonstrate their commitment and ability to contribute to the Testomat.io community.

Note: In case the candidate does not demonstrate contributions to the Testomat.io community after applying, we may decide to waive the Ambassador status. This decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
Official Ambassador Status: Once the candidate completes his first agreed-upon task, he will be officially recognized as a Testomat.io Ambassador. The candidate’s official status on our social media will be announced at the beginning of next month.
Renewal of Ambassadorship: Active ambassadors can renew their status at the beginning of each year by responding to our message. Active status is defined as having completed at least 2 activities in the year.

Rewards and Benefits

Profile Feature: Ambassador profiles, including a photo, a short biography, areas of expertise, and contact information, will be featured on the Testomat.io website, Ambassador and Author pages.
Peer Group on Slack: Ambassadors have access to a dedicated peer group, fostering ongoing communication and support among colleagues.
Welcome Cyber Badge: After we publish the Ambassador profile on our site and pin it on top for 2 months — it can reach more views. We grant him a special Ambassador’s badge. Also, we publish a greeting post on our social media pages and mention a new Ambassador in the monthly email digest with a 25,000+ subscriber base.
Welcome Package: New ambassadors will receive a welcome package box containing branded merchandise such as a special T-shirt with “Testomat.io Ambassador” and their name.
Annual achievements: Each year, the Testomatio team will honour and award the most outstanding ambassadors of the past year, celebrating their achievements and contributions to the community. A separate committee will make the selection of the winners to be awarded (they will be announced beforehand).
Additional Perks, except visibility boosts and marketing support: Product access (free Testomat.io subscription, ability to influence future product development, early access to new features too), extra discounts using our test management system, and educational opportunities (advanced courses from colleagues and our team insights).

Support for Ambassadors

To ensure that ambassadors, especially new ones, are well-supported and set up for success, the Testomat.io Ambassador Program offers the following structured support:

Onboarding Support: We will guide each new ambassador through the onboarding process. This includes setting clear expectations, providing answers to common questions (FAQ), and ensuring the new ambassador completes their initial tasks successfully.
Demo calls: Ambassadors can also reach out to us for further assistance, including one-on-one calls if needed. We ensure that Ambassadors can adapt their support system based on their evolving needs throughout the program.
Resources: We provide Doc, branding guidelines, content templates, presentation, PDF papers, checklists, a feature deep-dive demo and other documents on request.
Ambassador’s Slack Community: Ambassadors will gain access to a dedicated peer group on Slack. This channel provides mutual support, serving as a central place for communication, discussion, sharing insights, and collaborating on future initiatives. This chat space offers opportunities for networking and feedback, fosters ongoing peer-to-peer interaction, and builds a strong sense of community among ambassadors.
Feedback Loop: Ambassadors’ influence on our program. During the quarterly session, we will be happy to discuss program improvements and the future roadmap. Additionally, we welcome your feedback in the Slack channel at any time.

Expectations from the Ambassadors

Active Participation: The ambassador should remain at least throughout the year, actively engaging in program activities and initiatives.
Regular Notification: The ambassador should regularly report on their activities in a Slack channel. This ensures transparency and allows for the tracking of contributions.
Promotion of the Program: The ambassador shall promote Testomat.io and the program to the best of their capabilities, helping to spread awareness and increase engagement within the community.
Ambassador Title, Roles, and Tasks: While ambassadors are encouraged to engage in multiple roles and tasks to enhance their contribution. These roles, serving as examples, offer flexibility for ambassadors to tailor their involvement according to their preferences.
Unified Title: Regardless of the variety of tasks or roles an ambassador may undertake, all are recognized under the unified title of ‘Ambassador.’ Their diverse skills and roles are listed on the website to illustrate their areas of expertise and contributions to the community.
Availability: The Ambassador should be available via Slack chat or other contacts. Depending on the area of expertise, the common role is to adopt a “do what you can” mentality.
Program Exit: The ambassador can always exit the program by formally informing the Testomat.io team.

Tracking Ambassador Tasks and Activities

To ensure transparency and track the progress of ambassador tasks and activities, we will implement a simple system that evolves:

Living Document for Ambassador Activities: We will maintain a shared Doc that serves as a living document, featuring a table of Ambassadors’ activities and upcoming dates. This document will serve as a comprehensive base record, providing a detailed overview of ongoing activities and plans for each ambassador. It helps ensure that tasks are being tracked and supports alignment between the ambassadors and the program goals.
Tracking Progress and Community Contributions: Beyond just tracking individual ambassador contributions, this living document will also provide a broader view of community engagement. It will show what types of activities are happening across the community, by whom, and help identify areas where additional support or collaboration may be needed.
Community Quarterly Meeting Participation: Online meetings allow Ambassadors to present their initiatives and provide constructive feedback regarding program development and improvements. This collaborative setting helps us become better and provides a great opportunity for networking and engagement with fellow Ambassadors in person.

Ambassador Program Structure and Roles

The listed tasks are examples of how an ambassador can contribute to our community. Ambassadors are encouraged to mix and match these roles or suggest new activities that extend beyond the existing framework. This approach allows each ambassador to tailor their involvement to best match their strengths and interests while innovatively supporting the community.

1. Conference, meetups and event Ambassadors

Objective: Increase visibility, demonstrate Testomat.io’s capabilities, and engage directly with the QA and tech community.

Skills Needed: Event planning, public speaking, stakeholder engagement.

Tasks:

Give a Testomat.io workshop/talk/tutorial at a (local) QA conference, meetup, event, etc.
Represent Testomat.io at a technology event booth, providing demonstrations and engaging with attendees.
Organize your own or co-organize a Testomat.io meetup or event.
Get your company to sponsor a booth at a conference and represent Testomat.io there.
Other related activities agreed to suit the ambassador role.

* We will accompany the Ambassador on every stage, conduct marketing communications to the target audience and provide corporate event sponsorship.

2. Educational Outreach Ambassadors

Objective: Foster early adoption among QA professionals, students, courses and academia, to integrate Testomat.io into their testing process.

Skills Needed: Educational outreach, curriculum development, IT academic partnership development.

Tasks:

Conduct a guest lecture at a university on the benefits and applications of Testomat.io.
Mentor a student completing their thesis on a topic related to test management or automation using Testomat.io.
Partner with universities to integrate Testomat.io into their QA or software testing curriculum.
Develop and promote a Testomat.io challenge or hackathon for students.
Other related activities agreed to suit the ambassador’s role.

3. Company Ambassadors

Objective: Increase Testomat.io adoption in corporate projects and processes, build partnerships.

Skills Needed: Corporate communication, internal advocacy, partnership development.

Tasks:

Be your company’s representative in the program, advocate for learning, organize internal meetups, and advocate Testomat.io in the company.
If your company is not yet a partner, encourage them to join as an affiliate or reseller.
Introduce Testomat.io as a solution to clients or companies where it fits their needs, and encourage them to consider partnering if it aligns with their goals.
Establish a Testomat.io workshop/session for corporate clients to demonstrate the platform’s capabilities and how it could meet their needs.
The program includes test period support throughout the initial startup and onboarding phase. (e.g., trial periods, referrals, discounts).
Other related activities agreed to suit the ambassador role.

4. Open-source Dev Ambassadors

Objective: Strengthen the Testomat.io ecosystem by encouraging and supporting open-source contributions(runners, reporters, pipes) integrations, and reusable assets that extend the platform’s capabilities and benefit the broader QA and testing community.

Skills Needed: Proficiency in software development (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Git, APIs), experience with test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and open-source collaboration practices.

Tasks:

Contribute code, examples, reporters, or templates to Testomat.io’s open-source repositories.
Develop and maintain integrations or plugins with popular tools (e.g., CI systems, Jira, Slack, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
Create and share reusable assets such as project templates, test plan examples, sample dashboards, or custom reports.
Identify, report, and help resolve issues in the open-source codebase with detailed context and reproducible steps.
Propose and implement feature improvements or new exporters/importers based on community needs.
Review and provide feedback on pull requests from other contributors to ensure quality and alignment.

5. Market Development Ambassadors

Objective: Expand Testomat.io’s application into new industries and technology sectors.

Skills Needed: Market analysis, strategic planning, innovation advocacy.

Tasks:

Reach out to other (open-source) tools and advocate the connection between the tool and Testomat.io, possibly creating new integrations or plugins.
Attend different tech events to advocate for Testomat.io in different fields, showcase use cases, and inspire new companies to explore its capabilities.
Analyze market trends to identify new options where Testomat.io could be applied.
Establish partnerships with tech incubators to introduce Testomat.io to startups.
Organize a series of workshops targeting business analysts, project managers to demonstrate how Testomat.io can streamline testing processes (BDD functionality, Jira Plugin).

6. Community Engagement Ambassadors

Objective: Build and maintain a vibrant, supportive Testomat.io community.

Skills Needed: Social media management, community outreach, customer service.

Tasks:

Answer questions in the community, facilitate discussion and good practices. Help newcomers with our tool. It might be dialogues on X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Telegram, WhatsApp, Reddit, MoT threads, etc.
Act as a bridge between people and us who have decided to find support in the community.
Other related activities agreed to suit the ambassador role.

7. Content Creators

Objective: Educate the public about Testomat.io, share success stories, tutorials, and use cases.

Skills Needed: Writing, video production, storytelling.

Tasks:

Create and share a reference, user story, blog post, podcast, or a video on Testomat.io or the program.
Improve guides and make new content on the site to help others.
Make a series of social media posts about Testomat.io.
Be a specialist in a specific domain/area and produce content in that area to help out others.
Create a comprehensive guide, book, or article on Testomat.io.
Other related activities agreed to suit the ambassador role.

8. Certification and Training Specialists

Objective: Ensure high competency levels among Testomat.io users through certifications and training.

Skills Needed: Training delivery, certification development, instructional design.

Tasks:

Develop or deliver training sessions, webinars, or courses on Testomat.io best practices.
Promote and facilitate Testomat.io certifications within organizations and communities.
Create training materials, such as playbooks for test automation or reporting.
Mentor users preparing for certifications or advanced usage.
Collaborate on updating certification exams based on community feedback.
Other related activities agreed to suit the ambassador role.

Code of Conduct Section

All promotional content, including social media posts, blogs, videos, or talks, must clearly disclose your role by including phrases such as “Testomat.io Ambassador” or “#TestomatAmbassador.”
Ambassadors must promote Testomat.io based on genuine personal experience and authentic use cases, never exaggerating features or making unsubstantiated claims.
Ambassadors shall not engage in spamming, unsolicited direct messaging, or any high-pressure sales tactics when sharing Testomat.io-related content.
Negative comparisons with competitors are prohibited unless they are factual, balanced, and focused on objective differences rather than disparagement.
Of course, no spamming, unsolicited outreach, or high-pressure sales tactics.
Ambassadors are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, ensuring all representations reflect positively on both themselves and the Testomat.io brand.
Representatives grant Testomat.io non-exclusive rights to re-sharing content for official channels, with proper attribution to the ambassador.
The ambassador should agree to the Ambassador Program Guidelines, our Compliance Requirements and sign the NDA.
